Over the last 3-4 weeks I've had many pages crawled by Teoma and Ask spiders.

How soon should I expect to start seeing actual visitors as a result of these crawls, and should I expect to see most or all of the pages crawled in their index?

I have noticed a wait of maybe 4-6 week for inclusion after free spidering. Unfortunately my Google traffic compared to Ask traffic is about 30:1. I hear that certain markets do well there though.

Well, I noticed tonight that at some point in the past week TEOMA has added about 40 pages that I put up 4 months ago.

If I recall correctly, Teoma is on a one month update schedule. There was some talk of fresher results, but I can't remember anymore. They've been on a campaign to grow their index so I'm hoping for good things in the coming months.

I do remember Paul Gardi saying, with a smile, that if you want really really fresh results you could always PFI (but I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear).

I used PFI on the home pages of a couple of sites (optimized for search engines). After two months the number of clicks received is in the single digits. Waste of time and money, IMHO.
