| Why Did Ask & Teoma Spider My Site When I Didn't Pay For Submission?

I'm puzzled why ask/teoma was spidering my site when I haven't submitted or paid their url fees? Does anyone know about this? Does it mean my site will show up in their pages even though I have not paid them?

Yes, if your site is spidered you will end up in their index. It was spidered because more than likely their robots spidered a site that linked to you. The benifits of paying for spider is you have more control and its a quicker spider time, otherwise you have to wait and see.
