It is listed in ASK and Teoma as well.

So you are curious on how to make your site rank for a specific keyword? You should not worry about one keyword. You should have a spectrum of search terms that work well, especially for ask and teoma. The usual suspects will help.
Inbound and outbound links
I believe teoma's engine likes on topic sites that link to you with keyword link text.

I will do what you said.

My index page was listed on first page after PFI for a competitive keyword phrase. I made some minor changes to the page to simplify use for visitors. Now the page is buried. I've tried to go back to the original but no sucess.
Moral: If its not broke don't fix it.

Yep the PFI is quick, but does not help a badly planned and poorly executed site, get on top.
Thats life i'm afraid.
Regarding what Korkus2000, suggests - spot on.
Another thing to take into account is the content distribution and navigational structure of the site, this can play a very heavy role.
