I assume these would be the sites that get listed in the top pull down boxes - underneath the paid for listings (below the dotted line).

msg:30949 | 8:58 am on Jul 23, 2003 (gmt 0) | The answer is that it is still possible, but instead of submitting via the add url, would suggest hunting down links, that rank high in teoma, around a related subject matter of your site. This should slowly get you in, but patience has to be a virtue via this method, can take along time.

| We got in this way - took about 3 months. Was worth it though, the end result is better than a paid listing. TJ

We do feature on normal Ask results - but was wondering about the Pull down "I have an answer for you" boxes. Within these pull-down boxes, the top listings are those sites paying on a CPC model. However the bottom half (those below the dotted ----- line) are editorial content - i.e. they've put it there as they think it answers the question and is of high quality (no charge to site) - or so they say. I was thinking that by submitting to url@askjeeves.co.uk - we might end up in some of these places for free. Pull down boxes seem to appear mainly on the .co.uk version - so this may only apply to the uk site.
