I was doing some research and was trying to see to how the sites are ranking in Teoma and if it has any kind of algo similar to google.
Where a question popped in my mind to, Does teoma take into consideration Linkto's while ranking it's site???
and if does...does it have it's own linkto's or does it go according to google. This question is bugging me and i really can't find a good and firm answer on this and thought all you expertise might be able to help me out in this. :)
Yes indeed themes/hubs and link to's are supposed to be critical. They call it Subject-Specific PopularitySM. Subject-Specific Popularity ranks a site based on the number of same-subject pages that reference it, not just general popularity, to determine a site's level of authority.
Teoma, use a machine based community clustering principle, in which page/site similarities create a community, however as previously discussed in the google forums, it does not put so much weight on high ranking cross community linking (if the sites have no logical connection that teoma can address in its algo's, then it will be deemed bad).
The principle's of the Teoma approach, is probably at the forefront of SE technology and i can seriously see Google, at some point dropping its PR rank (easy to abuse rank by getting high pr incoming links) linking strategy in favour of a pure community/hub based authoritative approach.
