Nice board - wouldn't mind switching at all. Never really liked the speed of UltraBoard. BTW - I would like to offer my services as a moderator for one of the forums or a directory editor for Buddy Links if you need any more help.

Registrations haven't been moved sorry. Should have mentioned that...just login new...no need for email confirmation. I hope to be able to move the registrations over without hassle. I can do it now, but the passwords are not handled the same so I have to figure out something there. If I switch, I might do a full email with new passwords for everyone. I got it last friday and it is already heavily modified. (powerboard from [thewebmasterforums.com...]

OK, I like it alot. But, I've seen another favorite forum (Gossamer-Threads) go to hell on speed issues when they converted from UBB to whatever-the-hell-it-is-now. What's under the hood on this one? MySql? FEATURE request Can we get a 2nd "jump to" drop-down at the bottom of the thread?

I am more after big picture stuff at the moment. If there are no major objections...conversion will commence over the next few weeks. The url of the new board mentioned above will probably die off sometime this weekend.

From the big picture standpoint, go for it. I suggest adding a "board bug" forum (bugs only, no bitching allowed).

hehe. The irony: a bug forum for the forum.

yeah, but it needs considerable tweaking. you have/had some 404's in the drop-downs, broken image calls, mostly odds & ends, but enough to need a cleanup. I think cross-browser might also be a problem with other items besides polls. We'll soon see.

Bugs aside (I like the idea of a bugs forum, though - anything to add a little auto-referentiality, eh?), the overall design, layout and - most importantly - speed is a real treat.

Oh yea, it will have mega bugs for a bit until I get into it. The main goal was trying to xfer all the message bases over there to see if they will live and seeing just what it could do. Agreed, the speed is excellent. That is worth switching alone. I have never cared for UB speed - way to slow.
