If the system doesn't recognize you, the post button doesn't appear. Depending on settings, some browsers will not send a cookie from a "3rd party" page such as a bookmark. In that event, the board never receives a cookie. You can tell if you are logged in by the title bar (default at top). It should have your member name up there. Often, simply reloading the page will kick your browser into sending the cookie. Since we went to this system with the new software, bot abuse is way down.

Actually, right after Mack posted yesterday, I tried with the same results - that is, no "new topic" button. Didn't see any point in saying "me too" at the time, but I will here, just so Mack knows he's not imagining things ;)

Thanks for the info Brett. Bit more info about what happened. From my bookmarks to homepage. as usualy automaticaly logged in, Posted in another thread and went back to home. was still logged in. went to post in tracking and logging and couldent, but was able to post in this thread. Ps thanks for letting me know it wasn’t my mind that was at fault Mardi_gras

On my browser (IE6) the table is a bit too large. You have to scroll to the right to see the post button. The other forums display just fine.

Oh ok. You had yours set real high for the number of threads. Way down there about 90 days ago, there was a url put in a thread title (no spaces), so IE wouldn't wrap the titles. Thanks.
