The existing library system (link on top nav bar), was pretty good for quality threads throughout the forums. Mods have been requesting a similar function for individual forums. So we added that.
On the top of the forum index page (entry page to any forum with the thread list), there is a link now to "Library" in the infobar line (next to Charter). That will restrict the library listing to just that forum.
There is also a new drop down at the bottom of the library list to do the same for other forums.
Moderators may add "worthy" threads to the library.
Is there any specific reason why the link is only present on the forum index? The same info bar in the posting page only contains the charter and moderator links, and the thread view is even missing the charter.
I'd vote for having all three present all the time, as there don't seem to be any space restrictions in the almost empty info bar (the "reset last read pointers" link may not make much sense when posting). Otherwise, people like me who almost never visit any of the forum indices would be missing out big time... ;)
Hmmm... Now I see that the complete info bar is only present on the first posting page, but not later on when previewing and further editing the new post. Direct access to at least the charter and the moderator links might be helpful at all posting stages.
There are more sysop selectable links that can go on that page Bird. Forum specific options and links that are about the forum. So, the natural place to keep them is on the forum index "homepage" there.
