New Board Modifications

 3:23 am on Aug 16, 2000 (gmt 0)

New Board Modifications

  • post & and reply preview. You will be able to see how the message looks before actually posting it. This should help typo's and those ubb style codes (urls).
  • added disable smile graphics on post and reply.
  • added user edit of 'notify on replies' when editing post.
  • cleaned up (rewrote) of all the ubb code stuff (those listed on help), and a few new ones.
  • Updated the 'Edited by:' logic. Users may now edit a post up to 8 hours, or the last post in the thread.
  • added bad word filter.
  • email: bcc to multi recipts
  • email: user profile: autonotify on local email.
  • rewrote the entire discussion display routines for a bit more speed and scalability.
  • many minor tweaks (search, email, active list).
  • New help file.

All in all, I think this round of updates was worth the wait. Preview post alone makes all the work worth it.

Please let me know if you see any errors.

Nice!! Those are some useful features, especially the "preview" .

Thanks Air. I guess this last round of testing paid off. No major bugs have been exposed yet. Kinda surprises me since some of the mods were to very core routines.
