How did I get promoted?
Went from new member to junior member. Any perks?

Hi, I've only been on WW for a couple weeks, and suddenly noticed I am a junior member. This seems like a fast corporate ladder... Do I get any perks?

BS aside... I never really noticed this. What do these member rankings mean, if anything?

Nothing really, just based on the number of posts you make. Once you make 400 posts (I think. May have changed), you get a little star next to your little fella and become a senior member!

Here's the formula:

$mtlevelonetitle = "New user";
$mtleveloneposts = "0";
$mtleveltwotitle = "Junior Member";
$mtleveltwoposts = "20";
$mtlevelthreetitle = "Full Member";
$mtlevelthreeposts = "80";
$mtlevelfourtitle = "Preferred Member";
$mtlevelfourposts = "200";
$mtlevelfivetitle = "Senior Member";
$mtlevelfiveposts = "400";

Can we cloak-post? :)

I hear after 2000 posts you start earning frequent flyer miles on United and British Airways. So rack them up now before the next Pub Conference!

Hee hee.

Just a little joke.

I hear about "cloaking" for the search engines so much over the years I thought I would make a little funny. You can't actually do that as I'm sure they watch for that sort of thing.

Hope that, in this case, it doesn't mean you pay the gas bill....

Hey - I'm flying to London on Saturday. Can I apply my numerous rountrip air miles toward a higher ranking when I get back?

I am sure that for the right bribe, Brett would set your post count to anything you wanted. Heck, for the right bribe, you could get a whole new category just for you. Want to be 'über-geek'? I'll bet $20,000 would do it!

I still thinks there needs to be more member levels beyond senior member....

maybe the true sign of a "weathered" webmaster is how many google updates they endure on WMW! Seriously, you feel like a senior member after about two of them :)

And maybe the true sign of a weathered webmaster is how many google updates they endure without posting in update "dancing" threads? :)

Do these dancing threads do the waltz? If you get 1000 posts, you get a letter from the Forum King and Queen...whoever they may be...

Hi Ghost Poster,

Welcome to WW, yada, yada...

Hope you reconsider. You've obviously got a talent for posting :)

No thanks, :) I find posting rather haunting, er.. um.. I mean daunting.
