Sort of like the one at...

In another thread WebGuerilla posted: <mod hint>helpful reply</mod hint> And I thought:

Hmm, you know, A tip harvester ala Evolt would be a great addition to WebmasterWorld. A post in Foo would require a member <tip>.

Back it up with a searchable database and another resource is born. Personally I find the tip harvester at Evolt extremely handy. I know there's a search feature here, but finding info in text if you don't know the title of a thread can be really difficult. Scanning <tips> would be much quicker and less resource intensive for quick answers to often asked question.

Sorry I posted this in the Google Thread, would one of you nice mods remove that one please?

Thanks DG. Something like that is just about to occur. Mods will be able to set a 'flag' on a post (several different kinds), and then you will be able to sort the list by the 'flag type'. The flags will be icons that show on the index page (list of threads) for that forum.

One set of icons could be for "javascript tips", another for "css", and still others for "dhtml". Then, you can just click on any icon like that, and it will get all the other threads listed by date with that icon flag.

How's that sound?
