Yeah, it caught my eye too! How about we sponsor the site instead of donating. I would pay for that! But just plain donating seem odd. I would like to see paid word ads in that corner! But with Flat Links! He he

I don't think that Brett should offer sponsered banner ads. But here is an idea that I think could prove very profitable to webmasterworld on one hand and very useful to the users of this site on the other.
Brett could write an informative ebook on SEO. An offer it as an incentive to donating. It wouldn't have to be outright selling it could be just like PBS where you offer it to anyone who donates over $50 or whatever. It could be written in PDF format.
The raw materials are already here. Site themeing reciprocal link topics, cloaking...etc. It would only take a little bit of fleshing out to put it into a cohesive whole.
It could even be expanded outward into "The Webmasterworld Desk Reference" :)
I think this idea has allot of potential. Feel free to leave me a sticky as to why this would or would not work.

Thanks for noticing. I had a few people say they didn't know they could donate, so I made it more visible for awhile. Donations have been pretty good. Our expenses are cheaper than most would imagine - Westhost [westhost.com] takes very good care of us.

I promise to pledge a donation when I reach Senior status.
It's still post counts :

I'm sure you can understand my reluctance at talking specifics. There's been a very wide range of donations all the way from ten dollars on up in every form imagineable.
Again, thank you to the donators, we wouldn't be here today with you.
