Welcome to webmasterworld! There's not much out there better than what you'll find here.

Hi theweblady and welcome to Webmaster World.
EliteWeb recently mentioned to me he'd invited a few pals along for the ride and I'm glad you un-lurked (is that a word for the glossary) yourself so to make your presence known. We are happy to have you join us. Wish I could suggest books but as quickly as the web turns (or is that the soap I watch) I suggests you spend all your time searching the forum for the most current and pertinent information.

theweblady, I just checked your site and with a PR of 5 and almost 40 incoming links I'd hurry up and get your site back up!

hi craig, you are totally right! i just finished a non profits total emergency redesign (new client) and that was a 12 week job i crammed into 3 1/2 so i am just starting to recover :-)-
i am still pondering what to do with mine, i really liked it but i just got tired of it. i am a big fan of the "less is more" school of design, so i am still playing with ideas.
thanks for motivating me though :-)

hi paynt, thanks for the warm welcome- i think i am going to like it here! you are soooo right, things change so rapidly, by the time something makes it out in book form, its almost outdated- I do appreciate all interesting topics i have found here and the thoughtful (and sometimes quite funny) responses.
i am looking forward to learning alot here!

Welcome to WMW - glad that you find it useful.
What's a book?
Just looked it up on Google, apparently its a paper version of a web site that they used in bygone days.

Good to see you make it here fine! We have spoken a lot about different projects and sites on the Internet, but WMW has to be the best for Search Engine information.
Throughout the day I find myself hitting the recent post oftenn looking for what others have to share or opinionate about.
Books on search engine placement? If you the kind of person who likes to sit on the couch and read a book then getting started with a book is fine but you have to understand search engines change much too often only to learn what you have read is already outdated.
You can still learn a lot from a book in any case just be selective on which one you read.
The only downside of refering you here is now you will learn the search engines and everything behind it and now I wont make money off of you anymore! :)
ps - iggy is still looking for the work you once spoke about :)

Welcome to webmasterworld and I am sure you will forget all about books and silly paper things like that when you get addicted to the recent post link :)
Once again welcome and I hope you find all the info you need.
