Thanks! >Now if I can just find someone to show her >the sites while I'm hangin' out in the Pub.... We will be working on that WG. I think we will have many more people that come along, but not for the conference this time. So, if anyone has any ideas on organizing an activity for those not at the conference todo - that would be excellent.

Brett, Being based in London if I can help with any organising just let me know. I know a lot of the social places in and around London. Suggestion for the non techies might be a matinee at the theatre on Saturday. Then there is always Harrods, frog tour, bus tour, this is London one of the tourist capitals of the world, let's worry about making sure the pubs have enough beer in!

Lads and lasses, I'm in. It's a good job it's in October, I have to start saving now just to afford the beer. Jesus, nearly 3 quid a pint last time I was in London, just for some chemically enriched beer flavoured water! Heh heh, still be good to see you all. Who's up for clubbing? Seth, if you're coming over, then I take it you'll be up for a night at Fabric?

>Who's up for clubbing? backus, I went clubbing around the theater district in New York eons ago when I was way, way under-age, and have done a fair share of pub crawling in my time in and around Los Angeles. I've always wanted to do the real authentic_thing, but it looks like I'll miss my chance. If there's any travel for me it'll be to Tallahassee. All flights to there go through Atlanta (which my ex who worked for the airlines used to call the "armpit of the airlines") so if there's ever one there, it would be perfect. Besides, we'd have Lawman to call if we needed him. I do have some very funny Irish jokes I don't have the guts to send to makemetop. Maybe I'll send them to you and you can print them out and get them to him. You would do it, I know you would. Just don't tell him who you got them from. ;)

Marcia, I know a couple in their 50s who celebrated their birthday at the Ministry of Sound in London. Every weekend they go to clubs and raves. Cool people. You're only as old as you make yourself. Nobody's too old for clubbing!

I'll be there with thousands of duplicates of me, optimising my chances of getting a free beer. :) my duplicates shall each be wearing a unique disguise so the barman doesnt realise he's served me several times each.... ....will that work? z6

I have checked with some family connections within the travel industry, and should be able to help organize some departures from Boston to London... If anyone is interested - just send me a sticky and I'll see what I can come up with. Rumor has it from the maternal-being that I can lock in some rates of around $250 per person, round trip. But, we'll have to see for sure once we've got some dates finalized. Anyways, if your interested send me a sticky and i'll get back to you when I know more.
