Brett: Font Question

 12:43 pm on Aug 29, 2001 (gmt 0)

Hi Brett:

I know this sounds stupid but I had a problem locally with my fonts and now some things are not being displayed properly here. Could you possibly tell me what font you are using in the section where you have a list on the main index page titled: WebmasterWorld Info and Utilities ?
It is the actual bullets that are not coming up right and it's this way on many sites so I'm not sure what font I'm missing.

Hi Jill,

Just out of curiousity, what browser are you using? As a side-note, there's an interesting discussion in this thread [webmasterworld.com] on dots and bullets.

<font size="2" face="verdana" color="#000000"><ul>
<li> <a href="http://www.searchengineworld.com/sitesearch/index.cgi">Search</a> the entire site.<br>
<li> <a href="http://www.searchengineworld.com/glossary/">Glossary</a>. Lookup words related to promotion.<br>

Some browsers will inherit the font into the <li> - some won't. Also depends on if there is a CSS declaration for the <UL> or <LI> (there isn't in this case).

Thanks. I have Verdana installed and I used to get those bullets. Not that it matters but I just thought if I was missing that I might miss something else.

I am using IE 5.5. Thanks for the information.

No telling. I got a new computer and everything seems to be going nuts with it. Oh well as long as I can read the text I don't really care what it looks like! Thanks.
