msg:522023 | 5:48 pm on Jun 8, 2001 (gmt 0) | Hello all, I am new to Webmaster World, have been reading everything I can in the last week or so. I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but I would like to suggest a glossary of terms or SEO dictionary for this site. I find myself reading these interesting discussions and learning a lot until I stumble upon terms I am not familliar with. I find myself having to try and find them elsewhere on the internet and then coming back to finish reading the posts. Examples of this would be terms like "Anchor Text", "Empty Containers", etc. Perhaps this already exists on the site, or in a thread and I have just not been able to find it. Or perhaps these are terms that are just for people in the know, not wanting to give out any secrets. Anyway, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, heidik

New glossary terms could be defined and suggested for inclusion there...

Suggest away! And welcome to WmW, heidik. The first one that stumped me was SERP, had to ask someone what it meant. A lot of them you pick up just by reading through the board a lot, and seeing what context it's used in. It comes with time, and there are always more.
