Ian Turner has been found - alive and healthy!

He has lost his passport and he is in Atlanta. Should be home with family shortly.

Excellent! I bet he'll be quite flattered by all the attention. He's got some great friends, and is part of a very caring community.

Drinks for everyone :-)

Fabulous. It's late on Friday night here but I had to log in just to see if there was any news.

Ali - I read your posts on another forum - you're an incredible woman.

GREAT NEWS!
I would personally like to thank everyone in the search community for all of their efforts. As one of the last people to see Ian in New Orleans, I was re-thinking all day that he has to be found or I live re-thinking that day for a long time.

Special thanks to Nick, Danny Sullivan, DaveN, Mardi Gras, Brett and others in maintaining clarity in these moments of crisis.

Let's also just contemplate the hundreds of other people still missing today, those who have no access to this great resource, and no facilities to pass information all around the world in minutes.

What can we all contribute to their plight, from this point on?

This is GREAT NEWS as I wasn't looking forward Gretta Van Sustern running with this ball.

I guess the big question is why didnt anyone hear from him or did the authorities toss him in the can while they sorted it out?

Again great news but may I ask what he has been doing the past six days? One does not suddenly fall off the map in Atlanta just because you lose a passport.

g1smd,
Nick on TW had amounts pledged for a private detective. I would be happy to give my pledge of that to a good cause. I don't know Nick personally, but anyone else does, maybe ask him of all those who pledged and see if they would follow through with this idea.

What a relief! I can't express how happy I am that Ian has been found.

Can we please not make assumptions or ask intrusive questions? It's disrespectful. We are not entitled to know everything. Ian is entitled to his privacy. Let's not get nosey and gossipy, it reflects badly on yourself.

We are happy for his safety.

Perhaps instead of funds he can sell his story to one of the tabloids!
