I'm getting timeouts loading the images/logos for webmasterworld. They appear to be on netins.showcase...

Anyone else seeing this?

yes i haven't been able to get the graphics for a couple of days, no idea what the problem is.

i've had to turn off grafics when i'm surfing here, or else the pages freeze

No graphics here either - thought it was just me! Shot in the dark - is it a UK related issue? I am using BT Openworld....

Yeah, UK as well. Getting 500ms latency on the last few hops of a traceroute to the server.

I turned graphics off as well, and noticed how surfing (on other sites as well) was quicker and the pages usually still looked ok. Perhaps it will start a new craze 'surfers without graphics' or maybe just 'gopher' for short :-)

I used to get it sometimes on dialup, but not since on a faster connection. Not even a sign of a problem lately.

>>is it a UK related issue?

Are you all having in the UK? When not everyone is having problem with a site it always makes me wonder if it isn't something along the line on the network that's location specific.

At one time with my previous ISP I practically couldn't connect at all for a couple of months but had no problem with AV's free dialup which I kept as a backup.

Well, whatever it was - it's been fixed now for me.
