I have just come down to the lobby to find 2 WebmasterWorld members asleep sprawled out on Sofas :)

Many Many Highlights over the last few days, however the best was last night in the hotel bar,

Beautiful Young Ladies who were waitresses were walking round with trays of alcohol, and asking 1 question:

Excuse Me, Are You a SPAMMER?

only those who said Yes were given a free drink, and I have no idea who was behind this stunt.

many pics to go up in next few days, and I look fwd to 7.0 in the near future.

Shak

Oh no, it ain't over yet.

PubCon 6 = Swingers Convention
PubCon 6.5 = "Schoolgirls" dressed in revealing attire, playing the piano piss drunk and singing

I've never laughed so hard in my life. She is screaming the words to "'Til The Saints Go Marching In"

Brilliant. ThomasB would be proud.

Just got back after 6 hours travelling ( I live in the middle of England so that is bad).

News of the schoolgirls was all over London. When said I had been staying at Hammersmith to the geezer on the train next to me, he asked about the schoolgirls. So I told him :)

Thanks all, for the hangover :)

*Never walk up to the bar and ask for two warn nuts*

I guess you had to be there.

Also heard that you need to start optimizing for page 10 ....

Couldn't move along the bar for the spammers.
Everyone seemed to be SEO-maniacs...
One guy made me do a double-take when in the middle of an enquiring conversation he said: "If you don't do SEO, why are you here?"
"For the free beer," I replied.

Look forward to bumping into fewer "here today, gone tomorrow, back the next day" moneyists next time.
There were some publishers at publishers conference 6.5, right?

.....and making your title in the serps into a flashing marquee.

Really great hanging out with all of you. Wish I had time to talk to more people.

Not sure who was buying, but I really enjoyed the waitress walking around to everyone saying "free beer for spammers"

even though spam is UCE and that's not what most of us do ;)

Seeing Dave_N's reaction to the waitress offering free beer only to spammers was priceless.

Seconding what jcoronella said - good conversations, not enough time, pathetic stamina level. Me, not him.

Ideas buzzing, clock ticking.

Were they really saying "Free drinks for spammers"? I thought they were saying "Free drinks for scholars," which is the only reason I took one. (Well, several.)

Would have been funnier if they'd come around and said "Google has sponsored these drinks for the content generators". Bet most of those would have been rejected and everyone would have spent way too much time looking over their shoulders to see who else was looking over their shoulders....

I took one of the spammers beers though I'm not really convinced that I'm a spammer. Well, thanks to the sponsor, it was good.

I really enjoyed the days in London, hanging around with people from most continents discussing about stuff I didn't know before or was too complicated. I think it was a perfect start for a very hot SEO summer with lots of new content in the SERPs. :)

For the people who missed it:
There's no excuse for missing a PubCon, except your family needs you. But you'll find friends and business opportunities there!

Now it's a good time for that Pubcon fund for all those who didn't make it this time... One for the wife, one for the rent, one for the childrens college fund, one for the groceries, and one for the Pubcon fund.

Add PC-free-beer-fund and PC-stay-extra-nights-fund, and of course the all new Brett's-surprise-Popcon-fund at will.

Oh, and thanks to BakedJake for teaching me a wonderfull new game to fill my plentyfull spare time with :)

Totally manic fun - Best networking event I have been to that week. ...... ahhhh ... thats because it lasted a week!

I seem to recall that there is a new meaning for the term "would you like to swap links with me" - and it is not clean ...... so if I giggle if you ask me ... blame the pub conf!

What I want to know is ... where were all the women? There were only a very few of us!

What I want to know is:
  1. How many "spammer" beers were downloaded?
  2. How many spammers managed multiple downloads?
  3. How many whitehats turned black in the face of free beer?

I was, ahem, 100% whitehat going into my first PubCon. And PubCon tried to corrupt me! The beers were just symbolic. (So I was only symbolically drunk.)

so when is the next one? if you would like us to solicite some sponsers (from affiliate programs we promote) I need to know the dates as soon as possible.
Thanks
/BP

P.S. in regards to the nice lady who gave us the beers, I still think that by the comments she got from us she think spammer has something to do with production in sperm ....
