The wedding should definitely be held at Pubcon 7. In which case Pubcon 7 should be held you_know_where. ;)

Cool idea - I've never been to Gretna Green before! Do you think they've got enough hotel rooms, though?!

Of course, PubCon 7.5 should be the honeymoon - so it should be held either in Paris or Venice (imagine 500 drunken webmasters in a fleet of goldolas).

Felicitations Brett and Hawkgirl!

[start of me being indiscreet]
Brett how did you propose?

  • was it the old fashion way (down on one knee)
  • friends-like way (at a basketball game on the big screen like Mike-Phoebe proposal)
    or
  • the electronic way (modification of her WebmasterWorld control panel and by blocking her posts until she replied) ;)?
    [end of me being indiscreet]

All the best for the future.

Thanks for all of the kind wishes!

I can guarantee you that the words "PubConf" won't come within 10 feet of the wedding invitations ... nor will the Cittie of York pub (or other PubConf venues) be within 1000 miles of the honeymoon destination. ;)

The 'tell' (sign of true love ablooming) as I recall was a bag from McD's being walked by Brett into the hotel in Orlando one evening. The same evening a host of others were walking in in their 'costumes'.

I thought the gig was up when I noticed a rock the size of Cuba on HawkGirl's ring finger in a photo at ShakCoUK. [shak.co.uk...]

Way to go HamburgerBoy, way to go. May true love and satisfaction forever be found in life's simple pleasures, such as burgers and diamonds.

    Congratulations!

I suppose that if Pubs/Pub Con will not be anywhere within a 1000 miles, then there won't be a notebooks, blackberrys, etc either.

It's a wonderful thing when two become one.

    Bless!
