Message counts...

Hi,

I noticed that lately when I post that my message count for my profile does not reflect the new post. Today I noticed this on several other people who would post and then post a reply later in the thread.

GWJ - the post counts are dynamic. If you post multiple times in the same thread all the post counts will be the same. The post count is tied to your name rather than any individual posts or threads.

When you started this thread you had 93 posts. If you reply to this thread both of you posts should say you have 94.

Hope that helps ;)

Clarification: In some of the non-webmastering forums like 'FOO' and 'Moderators' the individual profile tally is not incremented. In all of the topic-driven forums, the count is updated dynamically as Oil has explained.

Thanks rc - I forgot FOO was on the non-count list ;)
