| But didn't google just do a dance on Aug 11? |
| In the past a "dance" would update backlinks and PageRank across the board. I've seen no indication of a mass update of either.

The update has been more partial, bit by bit, hence if you have a very fast moving site, G will reflet the content, though i would start to forget about pagerank, as it certainly looks like the plex is starting to see the failure's of the global PR update system.

Greetings and Gidday from downunder folks Arnett: > "we're drifting back towards the old "content is king" days" ... pages which offered relevant content" News Flash! Content has *always* been, and will always be king. As has been repeated ad nauseam in various threads in various forums since day one of WebmasterWorld. ;-) Cheers and Hooroo JP

The dance is dead. Deader than a doornail. PageRank will not die because (by definition) is the basis for the Google algo. If "PageRank' dies, Google dies. It's axiomatic. What will end, I bet, is Google REVEALING a site's PageRank.... for free, that is. Using Google to search the Web, is like going to the library except the Dewey Decimal system is secret, arbitrary, capricious and manipulated for profit.
