Webmasterworld is proud to announce PubConference 5! the web marketing and promotion event of 2003, to be held in london England and hosted by WebmasterWorld Members.

You've been hearing about the other Pubcons and last years sold out PubCon London - wishing you had been there right!?
Don't miss this opportunity to open yourself to new methods and strategies for web marketing revealed by the friends and family of WebmaserWorld at PubCon 5!

When?
Saturday September 20th, 2003, 1pm to whenever.

Where?
Cittie of Yorke Pub in downtown London England. A great place for a weekend conference. There's been a Pub there since the year 1430.

The main bar is a cavernous mediaeval-style hall with a high vaulted ceiling and everywhere you look there are carved oak panels, ornate metalwork and some of the biggest oak vats you'll ever see above the bar - it's like an elven king's hall out of The Lord Of The Rings. (-professor hardbottle)

Why?
The premise is simple, many of our members are qualified to speak at conferences and are bored to tears when attending other ones. So why did we go to them? Just to get to the bar and network with people! The contacts, the associations, the follow ups, and the friendships have been some of the most productive contacts we have ever been part of.

What's in it for me?
The Short scoop? It's your chance to put yourself in the loop with the in marketing crowd (it's probably why you came to this site).

Agenda:
;) TBA

Sponsors:
The usual suspects... Thanks to last years crew: AllTheWeb, Position Tech, Inktomi, SearchEngineCommando, Overture UK, Espotting, Yahoo UK

Special Guests? Who will be there?
Everyone who is anyone in European SEO.

Travel - goin mobile:
We've been watching air fares from the US to London since June, and they are as inexpensive right now as they have been all year long!

Cost:
All funds go directly towards the cost of hosting the event (venue expenses, and the OPEN bar etc..).

Early bird signup until the end of August...

Got Site? Sure:

As usual, the Thistle booking isn't up on the rates. As w/ last year, I booked to get the confirmation number and the room I wanted ...we'll quibble over the odd $$ later.

(Thursday, Pubcon really begins on Thursday.)

This South African (born in England doesn't count surely) is going to do his best to be there. All the cheap flight places are closed, it's gone 10pm here.

Moi? Peril? Oh hush. You'll ruin my sweet and innocent reputation.

At least I'm not liable to lead anyone off walking halfway across town without warning. ;) (The high-heel boots are staying HOME this time)

Its called being scottish, see if the conference was up in scotland, it would be a congregation heading across the landscape to a bar in the middle of no-where that may or may not exist, but i had heard in a conversation a distant time ago. Druken spirit's.

Nick,

57 pints - not bad my son - four days thats 16 pints and a quarter a day - aspirational, kid not. Well maybe not for NFFC, drinks like a trooper that chap.

And spoil that excellent rep you were getting after boston?

The caine-walking-with-me-in-boots episode happened in London... I don't want a reputation as the woman whining about how her feet hurt. ;) (psst... Macguru wasn't at either conference, caine. hehe)

I'll have to think of something else. Wooly clogs and a miniskirt wouldn't really "work" so I'll have to get a propeller beanie.

Mivox,

I have truly forgotten about that episode in our conference outings - remind me.

Boots and a big journey - did you have your coffee mug, or was this a magical mystrey tour too or from one of the clubs?

Good grief, caine helping mivox after a big night out? - The only thing that would make that even more "blind leading the blind" would be if I'd been there too ;-)

You said, in front of the hotel (day before the conference), that we should take a "quick walk" down the block to find somewhere to have lunch. And ended up leading us all the way to the Citte of York on foot, with me in boots with 4" heels.

If that's your idea of a quick walk down the block when you're sober, I'm afraid I'd end up in Scotland if I walked anywhere with you after a spell at the pub....

Good grief, caine helping mivox after a big night out?

Worked out OK after the Irvine conference. I woke up in the correct hotel room, in time to catch my flight home the next morning. ;)

Don't you start getting checky Sir.

I'm going to do some serious homework this time around and get a few things sorted, so that its a little better scoped out as last year was a good laugh but all done within druken stupor's including thyself.

Mivox,

I remember that one now, i think BT and Shaun, and a couple of others were with us that time, worth investigating the pub though. Nice beer.
