Where is everyone going?
Maybe we'll see Brett resigning next!
I'm an ignorant css'er - but I recognise a warm personality.
Impossible for you to stay away, I'm sure.
Addictions are addictions.
I can barely deal with this. You're contributions have been many and strong.
Hey, maybe you can spend more time in Browsers if you're time is not completely absorbed moderating any more?
Lots of luck to you Nick. Thanks for the help with a lot of issues, not just CSS but all sorts. You are a gent.
Hope to see you around, and pubcon?
Sorry to see you've stepped down. Hope to still see you around.
ODE TO NICK
A shallow notch, my good man, a cut from a razors edge,
A sliver of glass nicked his hand as he reach out for the ledge.
Wounded slightly, he cut short; and nicked an impulse to flee,
And everyone at WebmasterWorld found it very hard to believe.
Nicking tables for CSS he grooved a brilliant thread,
Our Nick so clever with fonts and space writing things he had read.
With Nick's new code and correctly placed he showed us how to cheat,
And jump we did from last to first leaving our competiton in defeat.
He tricked himself out of work our styles are so correctly placed,
And all Nick has to show us now are the cuts on his hand and face.
For you - Tricky Nick :)

Truly sad news indeed, Nick. I've loved your posts in the CSS forums (and elsewhere too). But, I want to wish you goof luck with whatever "green pastures" you have to devote your time to.
Thanks for all you have done!
"goof luck" was on purpose
Sorry to see ya go Nick! :(
Hope you stick around and contribute some more.
You will be truly missed as a moderator, Nick. I certainly hope you stick around posting though!
Nick_W, enjoyed meeting you at the con and drinken with you and yours at the pizza place :D I've only started to dabble with CSS and see that your stepping down. You still have my respect and im sure we'll see ya around a ton! :D
nothing I can add that hasn't already been said, I wish you all the best with whatever you've got planned too. You're contributions will live on in the libraries.
hope to still see your posts around. Not many people can educate you and make you laugh at the same time.
WebmasterWorld - you can log out but you can never leave...
I hadn't had time of late to post much in the CSS Forum, but I certainly read all of your contributions Nick. I hope you'll stick around even in a reduced capacity. You'll be missed as a mod.
Actually I'm not going anywhere, I'm still posting and still reading. Just not modding ;)
Thanks for all the nice thoughts, my sitcky mail is always on!
That's a relief! Your contributions have really helped me.
you stay offline for a day and this happens!?
Nick, sorry to see that you aren't moddin' no more. I really really enjoyed your creative snipping, and am looking forward to seeing your input as a WW member.
Best of luck in your post-mod days....
You'd better still hang out in the CSS forum - I've got just enough CSS knowledge to be dangerous. ;)
Sad to see you step down but I'm glad you'll still be around. Besides - we have much to discuss ala PHP and MySQL!
>>> Actually I'm not going anywhere
Glad to hear that because I've always valued your posts, Nick.
What everyone else has said and more...glad to hear you're still around though..
and much Good Luck for whatever comes next :)
Sorry to see you go as a Mod Nick_W :( but glad that you and Paint will still be around the forums to contribute to this great community
Cheers and good luck to you for your journey to whichever horizons you set sail
(not sure it's proper english but you get the point ;) )
Sir Nick, your posts have been really excellent, and you are a very helpful soul.
Best wishes for your future. We will miss you dearly.
It's good to know that you'll still be around, Nick.
The CSS Forum is, in my opinion, one of the mainstay's of WebmasterWorld - and this can be attributed to the superb work and effort you put into the forum. The work you put into the crash courses and the effort you put into keeping the forum clean and focused is a credit to you.
Best of luck and my sincerest thanks...
You'd better let me buy you a pint in gratitude in London! :)
I knew some thing would go wrong if the sun came out for to long in England.
Hope you stick around Nick.

Pardon my manners Nick, I never actually indicated how impressive and dedicated you were at "mod"-ing the CSS forum.
BlobFisk really hit a cord, and although I realize the forum will continue, I can't help to think that it will be quite difficult for WebmasterWorld to find someone else as dedicated and deserving of being a knowledge and skills development leader in this often misunderstood area.
I sincerely wish you the best in your future endeavors and at the same time wholeheartedly request that you reconsider your decision.
There are few members, mods, and admins that are as active as I (not being conceited just a simple truth) and I rarely post "me to". Sometimes (as Shak politely pointed out at PubCon, I do go off on BS tangents... something that I will endeavor to correct).
Most days and nights I read and post whenever the opportunity arises, and I often see you doing the same.
I am a rare breed, and you my friend > a term often used in my past profession "A breed apart" and should your decision stand, and regardless of whether you remain as a member or not > I can't help to wonder how much WebmasterWorld has lost from not having you continue as our CSS leader.
Take care, and see you at PubCon.
The drinks are on me. :)

A credit to US blobfisk ;) - I think we've set an oustanding 'tone' in that forum and perhaps untill BT finds a replacement for me we can work at maintaining that quality by setting a good example to incoming members and help them get the best possible experience from Forum83
I love it when folks come in for the first time and get a dozen qualified and authorative answers in the space of about 5mins ;) You guys MAKE that place a nice 'haven' from the bustle of some of the other forums and it's a pleasure to be in such good company.
>drinks are on me
Oh boy, and I thought I was wasted in Boston! ;-)
Sad deal, indeed, Nick - but, as long as you're still hanging around, I can always stickymail you to flick you some @#$# :)
An American expression, I think, best left as is to keep the vulgarity vague :)
Have definitely enjoyed your work in the CSS forum - and I hope that, when I finally take the time to study all the work you put in, you're around to answer my questions - else you'll get a flood of them in email :)
Glad to hear your still going to hang-about Nick_W! I always appreciated your posts in all forums. Losing you as a mod though, not a good thing.
Oh well, I can always sticky you till I get an answer ;)
Nick_w I just wanted to say you have do a cracking job in the past, and I hope you hang around you CSS is so neat and tidy unlike mine which is small and ugly ;)
Gee, Nick, I don't know how I missed this thread for a couple of days. I guess you weren't kidding when you said you'd never edit one of my posts again! Thanks for the great info and service here, and feel free to come back and mess with my posts at your earliest convenience! ;)
Just when I had made up my mind to do some serious in depth studies of CSS :(... I am irregular in CSS but enjoyed your posts in other forums. Glad to hear you will be still around to post :)
Your tutorials came along precisely when i needed crash course. Thanks much and glad to hear you're sticking around!
