Google Faroe Islands now live supporting special chars for a 46,000 population (post moved) claus
I just posted this to the Google News Forum, but i realize that this is the right forum for it, so mods, please remove the other post, i'm sorry about that.
Google Faroe is now online - not on the .fo domain yet, but as a "feature" of google.dk (Denmark)
The Faroe Islands have a 46,000 strong population spread on 17 rocky islands and they still preserve their own special characters, and no, the language is nowhere near Danish.
Additionally, the Danish Google has now got two sets of language customization options: "pages in danish", and "pages from Denmark" (the latter is new, i believe)
If you don't like the Google Denmark logo, you can also use:
However on that page there is also no option
Search pages in Faeroese. On FAST/AllTheWeb you can restrict the search to pages in Faeroese, although the number of pages in FAST's index in that language dropped from 150.102 [ webmasterworld.com] to 65,785 [ webmasterworld.com] in the last 13 month.
