...I am not sure anymore. The results on AOL-Search for France (Internet mondial) are close to the results on Google.fr (search for Web), but not the same. Is it possible, that AOL hasnīt updated their results-database? (Like it was with the datas from Inktomi, what takes a lot of time to be visible even when you have been found already on MSN.)
And the first results (Internet franįais), where are they from? These arenīt results from a french directory, but where are they from?
AOL.fr does Google only for international results. French results (default search option) is provided by Exalead. The Exalead search engine also integrates ina very clever way the directory listings into the serps, along with the very good topic section at the top of the serps. Good search solution. And I'm really glad Exalead didn't get trashed in favour of Google.
Have a look here: A thread [webmasterworld.com] about a deal between AOL and exalead. Unfortunately I really donīt know how it works. Try it out and give us a bit informations (if not someone else can help us...).
[posted exact the same time! great!]
heini, what about the question about the different searchresults? I think itīs interesting to know why there are differences between Google.fr and AOL.web-mondial. Do you know anything?
