Included are the large European countries with a well developed internet usage.
Added are Scandinavian countries and Netherlands - smaller countries with very high internet usage.
Excluded for a varity of reasons is the UK.
There is no question that some other countries could have been on this list too - hopefully this chart will develop to include them.
Order
The order of the search engines listed is supposed to reflect the traffic they generate.
Local / www
Generally default search option is set to results in local language. Lots of exceptions and specialties are involved.
Paid
Search engines and directories marked as taking paid submission do not generally exclude free submissions.
