Eurpoean search engines chart pete
Anyone have usage stats for Euro engines and structures. Could you recommend a good source?
You guys in the UK and Europe will be moving into the cold winter soon and I reckon that quite a lot of you will want to make it over to sunny africa soon. Would like to know what the major engines to target are!
I am looking for the same as well. I spent most of yesterday looking for valid data on euro se's, and there is slim and there is none. Come out come out where ever you are. NFFC
Some good info here:
If it is the site I think it is you may want to consider aquiring a .co.uk domain. It may also be worth hosting in the UK as the site is very slow to load even on a cable modem.
Haha... I like this one: "MORE EUROPEANS THAN EVER ARE USING THE INTERNET, BUT WOMEN, MEN AND KIDS ARE LOOKING FOR DIFFERENT THINGS ONLINE " JamesR

I'll only believe it if it if from Gallup ;)
NFFC - you thinking of a travel site?
We market quite a few and host them in the northern hemisphere (canada). Not good news if it is taking ages to get to you guys. I will consider the UK option definitely.
regards registration, does having a co.uk really make a difference?

In many cases, yes. A lot of the UK search engines won't register a .com - some will but want proof that it's a UK site eg address/tel. no
Many of the major search engines/directories default to the UK version for users over here, so the .coms etc. don't show up.
Another point, the .co.uk should not point to the .com site, the spiders follow through and judge the site as the .com
Try this one: [ ] searchenginewatch.com
BTW: I am looking for a professional positioner who has a lot of experience on the major German and Belgium searchengines. Some clients from us are asking to be positioned in Germany and Belgium. At the moment this really is too much for us, since we are just starting our business here in the Netherlands.
You do the job, we get a percentage. It's done in our name. [
Please drop me me a note if you are interested.
