Please welcome our new moderator of the Euro Engines: Rencke. Jan is based in Sweden and involved heavily in Euro Tourism and has years of marketing and net experience. If there is an area around here where we all need some help, it is wading through the mystery known as the European search engines. Of all the fourums here, I think we all stand to gain the most, learn the most, and profit the most from understanding the the euro way that things are done. Thank you for sharing your experience with us Rencke.

Spokane

My brother-in-law actually graduated from Whitworth College and my wife is from Seattle. So, every year I get a little more educated on Washington State.

Aw, shucks. Thanks for the warm welcome. This place is going to be the scene of a great pan-european effort to map the search engine situation in Europe on a per country basis. Lots of stuff will be posted here by mid October to get things rolling. Meanwhile, do feel free to post anything you want in this wonderful and warm forum.

For those of you who don't write English too well and worry that the Yanks, the Brits and the Aussies will laugh at you:

Just put "Automatically translated by AltaVista" at the bottom of every post. No one will ever know. :)

renke, your idea to map the European search engine situation sounds great to me! I'm definitely looking forward to those discussions, as I would like to understand the search engine situation in Europe, as well as internationally. Thanks for moderating this forum!
