Haven't seen much on this board about Zeal, but it's an increasingly important part of Looksmart, and by far the best way to get a nonprofit-type site into the directory. This gives a good overview of what it is and how it works: [zeal.com...]
Thanks for the info ;-) Dam switching over to tripod. With such a large site, for my "green" webmaster skills it has been easy to over look some links that point to tripod. I am a bit suprised that those links on my "recipes" page pointed to tripod and not just the "htm" sub pages. Regardless I have changed those links. I also took your advice and removed some of the icon graphics with black page links that I am currently working on. It is easy just to create those links when the pages are done.
Hey Brian - you've got some tasty-looking recipes on there, and I think you can use that to your advantage - rather than submit the same URL to multiple categories (which doesn't make a huge difference, imho) you could try submitting some of your recipe pages to the relevant categories. Then you'd have a lot more keywords and URLs represented in the directory. I'd try it with a few of 'em and if it works then submit the rest...good luck!
