Google at least is ranking links from directories (hubs) as a large part of their PageRank algorithm. Anyone have an idea at the order of importance for Yahoo, ODP, LookSmart, and About.com? Brett, you mentioned something about a point value before. My findings hint at LookSmart being more important for this than is commonly known.

With only 5 looksmart sites listed, I can't be sure. Compared to 20 in the Odp and 14 in Yahoo. I think it would be Yahoo first, then Odp, then Looksmart. ODP is carrying a great deal of weight with Google right now.

With Yahoo, Google spiders that What's New page daily - maybe even twice. I got a site into Yahoo two weeks ago (ya!) that was spidered by Google on the same day it showed up on the What's New.
