Good question... also, does anyone have a list of directories they would like to share? :) Thanks, Mihai

No idea on how much benefit does it brings, as for the list I just punch in theme/keywords of my site and words like directory, links, submit etc. and add my site to dozen other... ;-) Looking at my stats I get few visitors form these links about 1% which doesn't look too bad to me in long terms.

By using directoris you will be listed better in the searchengines over time, but to spend two weeks with registering to directories that want a repr link back or money for a link i mean is a wast of time. Specially if they do not have any pagerank to offer you. <snip> [edited by: engine at 2:02 pm (utc) on April 16, 2006] [edit reason] TOS [/edit]

I wouldn't list with directories for Pagerank. I use a couple for the link, er meaning I get visits from that link. If I make £50 per month from that 1 link, then it's well worth it. Idea being that with 20 good directory links, how much business is that worth - kind of thing.

Best thing will be using manual directory submission services. They take care of all your submissions as they hand submit websites to each directory. This is what I just posted in another thread explaining about directory submissions. Using directory submissions services, you can ensure that your website is submitted to good directories which are regularly indexed by all major search engines. it will help your website in 1. properly indexing in all search engines. 2. will get good number of back links at a very low cost and in very less time. 3. will help in increasing PR of your website as most of the directories are PR3 or more and finally, 4. it will help in bringing some traffic to your website. hope this helps, let me know if you need any other details on same. thanks, Tony
