hello guys

i have been on this website for a while now but never posted anything sice there is so much to read that i never had to post anything until now :)

my questions to all seo geeks? is there a website that has list of top 100 or 500 directory websites.

i used to have a list of my own but looking at it now it is only build for specific part of online business, what i really need is just plain listing of all directories.

and

h*ttp://www.google.com :)

Search for Web Directory, Web Directories and then the regional variations eg Anatartica Web Directory (Perhaps not that region though) and then the product you sell - Widget Web Directory.

dmoz.org won't list a lot of the best directories because they are too commercial and loaded with affiliate links. Try checking the backlinks on the directories that you know about. You should be able to find some links pages with lists of directories.

Good tip by Slowmove.

Look at the backlinks of your competitors also in Alltheweb (and other engines) and see what directories are linking to them!

After all a lot of directories dont give you the html link you are probably looking for but if they are in the search engines on a backwards link count then the SE recognize the link.

I would have recommended http //www.isedb.com/, but they seem to have some SQL problems now.
