a little while back, it looked to me like netscape was a google clone.
now, it seems that its a bizarre combination of google but with lots of specific aol-added content.. i can't make head or tail of it..
anyone?

They have a drop down where you can select the search provider...I think it's still prefilled with Google (haven't looked, though). Must say, can't for the life of me figure out why you'd want to use the netscape portal. :) Though for some stuff, I've seen them as a pretty heavy referrer through their Google results (I don't think a lot of people change the prefill in the box).

It seems to me that the Netscape results are filtered to websites hosted in the US. Similar to the first AOL-Google results: I hope taht Netscape will soon adopt the AOL approach.
