I just heard that from an associate in Africa.
I'm an @home customer and I see white with 2 shades of blue.

*laugh* I think its kinda funny how the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom goes back and forth!
Actually, Google was the one who started it. They have a different theme for their logo during special occasions.
I will admit though, text on black is difficult to read. At least they didn't make it a pumpkin orange background.

Excite had the same design October of last year :( You would of thought they could of come up with something new........

Excite has been doing the design change for a while. They went crazy for Valentines day, St. Patricks Day, Easter and Christmas. I don't remember any other, but there may be more. This Halloween one is terrible. I can hardly see what I am clicking.

Now if they could only get their*&($#% together maybe they get some of Inktomi's traffic.

SEs are going in two directions:
1 low bandwidth clean pages,
2 High bandwidth ugly pages that scream at you to click on anything but the search button.
I sure hope the clean pages win.

*laugh* The scariest thing about Go, is that it will look the same after Halloween.
