Preaching to the choir, I'm sure. Here's the thing, for our site, we rank in the top 5 of two specific terms on G, Y, Teoma, but GIGA doesn't even give us first page placement. Any help/suggestions/ideas on why we can be so good in everyone's eyes except theirs?

The bots don't run continually ... but rather in spurts up to the limit of the bandwidth allocated ... Sounds worthless ... but, VERY BRIGHT GUY wrote it ... AND ... the site provides a way for you to submit pages to be searched the next time :"the bots are released." {smile} NOTE: From time to time, that "doorway" for submissions is shut, but (in the past) that has always been temporary. SO: By all means, go directly to the siteand figure out how to submit the pagesyou want indexed the next time the bots go out ... OR, just forget it. {smile}

msg:460562 | 8:39 am on Sep 20, 2004 (gmt 0) | Hello all: The last time Gigablast spidered my non-commercial site was 09 July 2004. A few desktop machines can't possibly spider the internet every month, let alone every week or day. Maybe we should have a bake-sale or whatever and buy the guy a few more desktop machines. Best wishes - Larry

msg:460564 | 10:21 pm on Oct 1, 2004 (gmt 0) | Is Gigablast no longer continuously updating? The counter for the number of indexed pages on their home page got frozen on 475,577,392 from the end of July but now it jumped to 640,236,384 with loads of pages indexed in August and September. However, the 'Add a URL' function is still blocked.
