Which lycos site were you on? They seem to be the same as fast/alltheweb at the moment.

Now it seems to have flipped back to All the Web results. I imagine since All the Web, which feeds Lycos, is now owned by Yahoo some testing could be going on.

Yahoo updated the alltheweb site to say it'll be powered by Yahoo search, so it prolly has to do with that. As will the altavista site, now to be powered by Yahoo!...kind of funny, given search engine history.

I was a little concerned because Sunday Lycos/US was showing what looked like Inktomi results not Fast/ATW PFI sites. Then it bounced back to ATW but it seems to be dropping some pages from ATW. Both were sometimes different but I'm wondering if Yahoo is ruining another engine. If it reverts to that then its two PFI programs I'm getting my teeth kicked in from. I'm glad I backed off from Lycos/Insite in late February. Every time you buy into one of those programs they seem to change their way of doing things.

Looks like I was right on target with Yahoo hurting another search engine. It possible Lycos will carry some of the ATW results to say they're honoring the PFI contracts.

Yeah lycos.com has powered by inktomi at the bottom. But lycos.co.uk seems to have different results and doesn't have the powered by inktomi logo.
