AOL lists a website contact person
is this true and how do I change it?

I got an email today regarding a website that was clearly meant to go to the owner, not the webmaster. I get these occassionaly, but several months ago I took down all reference to any email on the website and changed it to a contact form (to reduce spam).

So I emailed back this person and asked how they got my email. They said "I was searching *keywords removed* in the AOL search engine, you were listed as the contact person."

Huh? I looked at the AOL web-based search engine, [search.aol.com...] and couldn't find any such information.

So, could I get some feedback on if this is the case on the AOL browser search engine, and how might I go about getting rid of that contact information.

Emma, there are some peculiarities to the AOL browser and capabilities, and the closest I know to get any information is here

[webmaster.info.aol.com...]

AOL uses Google for their search, so I'm assuming you mean something for search that's built in to their browser.

Couldn't find anything on that link about it. I thought maybe they were using Alexa data, but I checked and they listed a different email. Very strange!
