| My MSN rankings are abysmal all my great Zeal traffic has vanished - what to do! |

msg:460861 | 9:43 pm on Dec 20, 2003 (gmt 0) | I used to get a ton of traffic through being listed in Zeal's directory - a couple of my websites benefited from this. Since they dumped Zeal I'm finding that I rarely come up in the top 10 for searches where I used to be #1! I've never paid much attention to MSN, because I do quite well on Google plus on top of that I've always done Overture (miss those .01 listings...) and now with Adwords - but I was happily receiving several hundred MSN'ers a day, and am finding it hard to recoup that traffic through paid sources. I signed 4 URLS up for Inktomi but have seen no boost from that - in fact I'm wondering if that won't end up hurting my regular INK listings in the end, since 1 thread I read said that there's a chance INK might dump any unpaid URLS once you pay for it. That could be hundred of URLS if that happens - even if it seems my current traffic from anything related to INK is really poor. Anyway I've upped prices on some Adwords, added some Overture words - even paid for some banners on content related sites (that was painful!) but I'm getting a bit worried about my failure to show up decently in MSN - since this means I'm also doing poorly on INK - which from what I gather is about to go more mainstream again on Yahoo? Yikes that would be awful. Anybody know any updated stategies for helping out with MSN and/or INK rankings?

Only way to get syndicated (it seems) to MSN from LS is to pay $$$. And, with LS laying off a lot of people...with MSN dropping them, as well as other partners dropping them...it's bleak there. So, that leaves focusing on INK to do well in MSN, or paying more $$$ to Overture.
