Low PR Links
worth it or not

 11:56 am on Mar 6, 2003 (gmt 0)

I'm looking to increase the number of links to my site. I'm currently a pr5. My question is when looking at potential link partners, what's the lowest pr they should have before i don't bother trying to establish a link? Is it pr 4 or higher or lower?

I have absolutely no problem with links from PR2 or 3 sites, as long as
- they are not penalized
- they bring me either visitors or get my keywords in the link

If I had to choose between a $100 dollar bill and a $1 bill the choice would be easy. But if I had my druthers, I'd take both :)

I agree - as long as the site doesn't engage in dodgy practices and the webmaster is on top of things, it will likely go up over time. Think of it as a long-term investment.

A penny is just a penny, but 100 makes a dollar or two rolls of pennies.

getting 100 PR1 links with generally get you little but it will probably produce a PR2, and make it easier to get more PR2 links, and so on.

Never turn down an on-topic link, since tomorrow when they are PR8 - they will turn you down.

If i have few links from PR5 and 6 to my site, will it give my site a good PR or do i need lots of links coming in. How many incoming links should a good PR site have....

Appreciate any help
