How many inbound links to really make a difference?

6, 20, 50? I don't really know how many sites link to us anymore, not sure if we have enough to really make a difference? I'm guessing we have around 25-30 inbound. Should we strive for as many as we can get? How many will help ranking and make a difference?

I'm not sure how many you need to begin impacting your ranking once you're in, but I can say that it only takes one inbound link to get listed in Google. We have a client who just made it in this past month. I figured it would take more than that, but it doesn't.
