Incoming links on PR0 Some incoming links are slowly degrading.... coconutz msg:409609 12:32 am on May 8, 2002 (gmt 0) I've noticed that some of our incoming links are slowly moving deeper into a certain directory, and ending up on pages with no PR. I have to assume that this link has little or no value to us at this point. Our reciprocal links page has a PR5. Does this outgoing link hurt us in any way? Would you delete this link?
Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Does this page help the valued traffic of your site? or is this a page to redirect the vistors to that can not find/get what they want from your site?
Do the sites you link to with PR0 have content that you are happy to recommend a visitor too? Or are you exchanging links because you believe google will like you better?
If the reason for the link is because you think google will like you better! delete the link. For all other situations the questions and many more remain!
Limits of the backward PR penalty: What a wonderful world it would be if we webmasters could know all we needed to know without suffering.

I've looked though nearly half of your www.profile.com/links.htm pages and i've seen no PR0s
Unless i am on a wild goose chase in a lake without a goose i don't think i see the problem link?
I've turned on my email addres in my profile.

Thanks wasmith, earlier this month we did delete some of the outgoing links to "not ranked" and PR0 sites mentioned .
Paranoid about guilt by association, I guess.
