Hi guys, I'm starting up a kind of cybermall but with lots of new features. I'm new to Google and was wondering how I could promote my site, like a general strategy. I've spent lots on SEO books and some subscriptions but can't figure out a general strategy. You see, I have tons of products, I can't really try to get keyword-specific pages for each and every product and brand name thereof. It would take years! I really do want to filter the traffic but I can only see its feasable to focus on about 10 general words across Google and the other engines, otherwise it takes too much time. I'm trying to get listed in all the directories, but I'm still stumped on the keyword part of the equation. If I have oakleys, I want the oakley lover to know that, not just know that I'm a cybermall.

any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've spent lots of time and $$ already.

Currently I'm trying to build links to my site and get listed in directories but I don't know what to about keyword-phrase specific pages.

Should I make each product page try to get ranked higher? If my homepage has a high link pop will that give high link pop to the product pages?

What do I want people to be linking to exactly? My homepag with words like emall, cybermall etc. or products page with phrases like oakley sunglasses witch would be harder. Basically I need an overall strategy for building targeted traffic to my site and how do all the recip linking, inbound, outbound, homepage, product pages, directories, SE's

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP, I'm pulling my hair out, but I love my site I've been working on it for awhile
