I dont think sponsored links can boost your website ranking. But theres a fair chance of getting visitors from them. We know that in search engines the good websites are ranked higher than the bad ones depending upon their overall performance. So if a website is automatically placed high in search engines it doesnt need to spend on sponsored adds. Again if I am a visitor and am aware of this I would opt not to go to the sites sponsoring. Can you also please explain the what do you mean by "sponsored link value" .. Regards, getxb

Not completly sure of question. But this is what I think you are asking. Sponsored links, are basically just your keyword/ anchor text with a HMTL link to your site. PR is like water in a bucket. If there is high PR it will flow to your site, providing yours is lower, and that there arent 100 other holes (links) on that page. So YES they can inproove the PR of your website and your SERP for the anchor text

Another benefit of sponsored links is that they are in more prominent positions on the webpage, which would generall translate into more traffic from the link (assuming it is a traffic-generating webpage). Not sure if I answered your question though.
