Don't forget link requests, press releases, set up an external blog with links back to your site (if you post your site in someone elses blog, Google won't follow the link to your site - but setting up your own blog with your link is still ok), forum posts with your anchor text sig pointing to your site, put a forum on your site to generate a buzz off site and point potential visitors to your site - besides the fact that it creates a vast amount of content and deep internal linking and of course advertising your site/link.

If you have a budget for advertising online, buy some text based advertisements. Be sure to use your keywords as anchor text. Alternatively, if you can, buy banner ads that allow 1 line of text above or below.
