Validating links
How to verify a link given to my site without physical visits?

 12:28 pm on Apr 6, 2005 (gmt 0)

Is there a way of checking the existence of an inbound link on a remote site.

I need to a software or some web based application, which can inform the links given to my site which are removed after a link exchange is over.

Simply, How will we know if someone removed the links given to us, after accepting for link exchanges without making physical visits, which is hard.

You could check the Google cache for their page.

You could also establish a dial-up account just for link checking. Those are pretty random. Or get an AOL account - hard to tell where they are coming from with their proxies.

Get Arelis and it will check it for you. Best solution.

No doubt that there are software to keep a watch for the link partner but nothing is like checking it manually on weekly / monthly basis
