Last week I was surprised to receive a link request from a webmaster who had only one page for links, 154 links and size 154k. This week however another contacted me who I assume is going for the Guiness Book of World Records. 1,147 links on a 264K page.
Managed to get the page to PR5 for zilch in return. Is this a record I ask? Should one also take advantage of the 1,147 webmasters who don't understand?

Ok, I'm new to the link aspect. I know anchor text, etc, plays a major factor in Google, but I don't understand what is being discussed in this thread. Can you please explain and can anyone point me to an authority thread on linking in this forum? ie, how to set up links for the best return, etc.
