One of our clients is reporting that FIrefox (1.0, Win) is crashing when they attach files to a FORM when the directory path is longer than about 70 characters. It crashes as they try and navigate to the file.

Anyone?

I just navigated to a 100+ character file on a form on one of my sites with no problem - FF 1.0 Win.

If the crash is in the browser dialog then the cause may be a filing system error. Suggest running scandisk (without surface scan). Also consider spyware/virus problems.

Try browsing to the same location with an open-file dialog from a program like notepad. If it fails the fault is almost definitely outside the Firefox program code.

Kaled.
