In safe mode I: Delete extensions, no go. Deleted themes – it works now! Best to add items one at a time to Firefox, I guess. But now I have a “Sage” RSS reader sidebar that when the “X” is click it will not close, I’d like to get rid of this since it can’t be closed. Any ideas how to? Thanks, Stephen

You might want to do a semi-clean or clean uninstall. Semi-Clean: This will usually fix problems. Uninstall Firefox - Delete the programs file folder. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\some 8 digit #. Copy that to another folder - Delete the profile - Reinstall Copy fhe profile back You will not lose your extensions. Clean: Same as above but just delete the profile and reinstall extensions. Hope that helps.

A clean install got it working. 1.)uninstalled Firefox 2.)deleted Mozilla folder in program files 3.)deleted Mozilla folder Iczer mentioned within documents and settings 4.)reinstalled Firefox Lost all my bookmarks, but I back to a browser I can work with. Love the tab feature. IE is still useful.
