When I go to LookSmart using Opera 5 I get a list of text links, a big empty space that scrolls for a while, then a normal LookSmart footer at the bottom. When I access the site in IE5 it works fine. Has anyone else noticed this?
As close as I can figure, LookSmart is detecting browsers and redirecting. Why is Opera being served a stripped down (screwed up) page?
Welcome to WmW, Chumani! Good question. It probably has to do with the differences O/IE render pages. Can't really provide technical details (help tedster!), but you will find many large websites discriminating against other (better :)) browsers.
You can remedy this by identifying as IE or Mozilla (Alt+P, connections, Browser Identification). Life ain't fair...
